Dutee Chand gets four-year ban for failing dope test

Dutee Chand, a sprinter from India who holds the national 100-meter record and is known as the country's fastest female athlete, has been given a serious setback with a four-year suspension.

Chand's suspension, which takes effect on January 3, 2023, as a result of her failing a SARMs out-of-competition drug test on December 5, 2022. Her infraction entails the cancellation of every competitive victory she has earned since the sample was collected.  This includes any medals, points, or awards she obtained during this time period. The National Anti Doping Agency (NADA) ruled that Chand had violated "articles 2.1 and 2.2 of the NADA," which resulted in a four-year suspension under "article of the NADA ADR 2021."
