Protein-rich Peanut Chutney is very popular in South Indian cuisine, it goes well with most dosas, vadas, idlis, and uttapams.

For 1 – 2 people

Ingredients – 1/2 cup peanuts, 2 – 3 cloves of garlic, 1/2 tsp – grated ginger, 1 – green chili, 2 – 5 leaves – of mint, salt – as per taste.

For Tadka – 1 tsp – mustard seeds, 1 tsp – of urad dal, 1 tsp – chana dal, 1 pinch – of asafoetida, 2 whole red chilies, 2 tsp – oil, and 4 -5 – curry leaves.

Method of making –

Dry roast the peanuts and peel them off. Heat oil in a pan and fry ginger and garlic a little. Peanuts and Garlic Grind ginger, mint, and green chilies in a grinder. Add little water and grind once again.

To make tempering –

Heat 2 spoons of oil and add asafoetida, mustard seeds, whole red chilies, urad dal, chana dal, and curry leaves and fry till it crackles.

Pour tadka over the chutney. Is the chutney ready?
