3 healthy and tasty snacks you can add to your diary: Easy recipe check

1. Chicken parcels

  •  10 pieces of aluminium foil- cut into 6″×6″ squares
  • 150-200 gm boneless chicken breast- cut into 2 long thin strips
  • ½ capsicum
  • ½ carrot, garlic, ginger
  • Salt, pepper,sugar, ajinomoto or to taste
  • 1 egg, 1 stock cube-crushed to a powder, optional
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp sherry
  • 1 tbsp cornflour


  • Mix all the above ingredients of the filling together.
  • Place 4 chicken strips on a piece of foil. Arrange some capsicum and carrot on it. Roll upwards to get a long roll. Twist the sides lightly to seal the filling and give a toffee look. Refrigerate till serving time.
  • To serve, remove from the fridge ½ hour before frying. Heat oil in a kadhai for deep frying. Put 3-4 parcels along with foil in oil. Fry on low medium heat for about 4 minutes so that the chicken gets cooked. Serve hot wrapped in foil
  1. 2. Sausage stuffed mushrooms


  • 8-12 large mushrooms
  • 4 breakfast sausages 
  • 1 small onion- finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • Batter- 1 egg, 1 ½ tbsp plain flour, cornflour, salt and pepper


  • 1. Gently pull out the stalk from the mushrooms. Scoop the mushrooms to form a cup. Keep aside. 
  • 2. Chop the mushroom stalks finely.
  • 3. Cut sausages into tiny pieces.
  • 4.Heat butter in a pen, add the onions, stir fry till they change colour slightly.
  • 5. Add the mushroom stalks and the sausages, cook for 1-2 minutes, till the mixture turns dry. Sprinkle salt and pepper. Remove from fire.
  • 6. Stuff the mushroom cups tightly with the mixture.
  • 7. Prepare the batter by blending or mixing everything together, dip the mushrooms in the batter and deep fry them in hot oil. Drain.
  • 8. Serve on a bed of lettuce with Tomato wedges and toast. 
  1. 3. Chicken Shawarma 


  • 200 grams chicken boneless
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • salt as required
  • 1 teaspoon spice cardamom
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • 2 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoon virgin olive oil
  • 1 handful chopped parsley
  • 1 cup plain greek yogurt
  • 2 sliced tomato
  • 2 medium sliced onion
  • 2 cup shredded lettuce leaf
  • 9 pita bread
  • 2 tablespoon allspice
  • 1 sliced carrot


1.For Marinate The Chicken

To make this delectable recipe, wash the chicken pieces and marinate the chicken overnight with a mixture of yoghurt, vegetable oil, mixed spices, cardamom, salt, black pepper and vinegar.

2. For Prepare The Sauce

Now, for making the sauce take a bowl and add yogurt, lemon juice, olive oil, parsley, salt and black pepper. Mix them well and keep it in the refrigerator.

3. For Bake The Chicken

Now, preheat the oven at 175-degree Celsius, cover the chicken and bake with the marinade for 40 minutes. After 40 minutes uncover the chicken and cook for 15 minutes until the chicken becomes golden brown.

4. For Roll The Shawarma And Relish!

Once the meat is cooked, transfer it to a plate and cut into slices. Then take a pita bread and place sliced chicken, carrot, lettuce leaves, sliced onion and tomato. Roll up the bread and serve with tahini sauce. Enjoy!
